Yes, they do. Nintendo hasn't set up any first party online system. As Leonidas said, it's all done by Gamespy.

has anyone had a hard time finding people to play with online???

i keep getting error code 85010, but i know my connection is working because sometimes one or possibly two people will join, but I can never get a fourth lol

It seems like it's an issue on the server-side, since a lot of other people have been experiencing the problem. Nintendo and GamePro will probably sort it out soon.

What the heck will gamepro do about it? They're just a magazine

Online is a confirmed botch in Smash Bros. Its smooth if you actually get in a game, but that often takes longer than the actual match.

hopefully they get to the bottom of the problem before the european launch. So we can have good matches. And isn't it gamespy that holds the servers?

I am not concerned, I know nintendo will sort it out eventually.

the sales alone probably overloaded what the servers could handle. The same thing happened to COD 4 for the first month and xbox live is practically flawless.
