It's off sale now, but CoD4 was actually $39.95 for a good, long while over the holidays, and it's pushed the aftermarket copy price way down as a result. You can probably still find it around that price if you look around a bit.

MoH:H2 has never dipped much below its $49.95 MSRP by comparison.

they have it on the DS, they could port the DS version onto the Wii, an idea

Mario Kart really is alot of fun but if you don't want that then my suggestion would be No More Heroes. It'll have no where near the longetivity of brawl but its alot of fun nonetheless, and its decently long, plus you can pick it up for only 30$$ now. Great Deal.

Or if thats not your thing then maybe wait for kid icarus, fatal frame, monster hunter 3, or The conduit. You have alot of options.
