Oh no, I won't be able to pretend rock around the world with strangers. I'm more interested in playing- Y'kno- The game.

Why are people so vapid about this stuff?

Lack of online play for a rhythm game HEAVY on multiplayer and lack of DLC is absolutely ridiculous in light of the fact that the competing consoles HAVE those features. It should've been an option to save to an SD card for DLC, and there definitely should've been online play for a game that emphasizes multiplayer AND being on a console with Internet connectivity built in.

Quick things about Rock Band vs. other rhythm games:

Having 63 full version songs is actually pretty impressive for a rhythm game.

Bemani games and PIU from the PS2 era (and still in the PS2 era for various reasons) did not have DLC, and the average Bemani game has anything from 95-120 songs (PIU's last PS2 version clocked in at 110) which is considered large enough and diverse enough for those who play those games... but those songs are not full versions or extended remixes but edits mostly (1-2:30 mins). The system and interface gains a few new features every mix, so DLC doesn't work as well for those games when fundamental system changes are made every mix/every year.

For Rock Band, even offline it could stand on its own... but it doesn't appear that Rock Band is planning on doing the same route as the Bemani games and PIU, so DLC is the way to get new songs instead of making new mixes (Rock Band's current grading system seems like its in for the long haul). The fact that Wii owners will not get NEW songs is very disheartening.

A whole 5 tracks doesn't make up for all the things that are missing.

I've got 31 tracks on my PS3 right now that Wii owners will never get. So you can have those 5 lolexclusive tracks. I'll be over there playing My Iron Lung by Radiohead.

P.S. Wii gets another crappy PS2 port. Hurray?

Actually there's way more than 31. I don't own nearly all of them. There's over 50 DLC songs for the PS3/360 version, and the number goes up by 3-5 songs every week.
