Rockband's online co-op is not make or break for me, ive only used it once. BUT, the DLC option is a make or break thing. Yeah, its the company trying to make more money, nobody is denying that. But if there is a song that I like, that I would like to play in the game, a little over a dollar is well within my means for more fun.

Oh, and the 360 banner in my sig has 2 purposes. The first is to show that I own one, and support it. The second is a play on The Burger King, in the fact that BK sold xbox games, considering I didnt make that banner, I found it online. I am not a fanboy, im just informing people of the gaming system I own, and having some fun.

In fact, the suggested price of Rock Band is greater than the difference between the price of the Wii and the PS3. Hell, you could get an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live for the same price difference. For those like you who've made the case that online play doesn't matter, then the Xbox 360 version is even cheaper as downloadable content can be had without the need for a Xbox Live Gold subscription. The game isn't being thrown into the bargin bin to the gamers who make purchases based solely on price.

You are paying $170 for one game regardless of the platform. That's equivelant to 8 games of your typical $20 shovelware or nearly three new games at $60 a piece. When people are putting down that kind of money for just one game, I believe the initial price of the console isn't going to be that big of a factor.

As for the price difference, the 40 GB PS3 retails for ~$400 US while the Wii goes for ~$250. My math works out to a $150 price difference between these two systems. Last I checked the $150 price difference is less than the $170 suggested retail price of Rock Band.
