I'm getting the feeling that this game will follow the standard Wii online procedures with friend codes needed. I would have figured that if they were breaking new ground with the online features in the game they would have mentioned it during the presentation. No mention of how the online works leads me to believe it won't be anything special.

Hopefully I'm wrong because this could be Nintendo's version of Home or the new avatar thingy on the 360 if they were to make it open to allowing you to meet new people.
