Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - online battles + voice chat + online map sharing! - NeoGAF

Quote:
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin boasts a feature set that should have fans excited. Wi-fi multiplayer battles over the Nintendo Wi-fi Connection are finally here, bringing voice chat with them. Also coming is the tentatively titled Map Center, making map creation and sharing a worldwide affair. Players can take their map designs, upload them, and rate and download others via the Map Center, adding hundreds of maps to the 170+ already included.

the co-op is also online : that's a nice feature, but it will still lack communication. S

If you don't want to play without text bubbles, find someone to play with over the net. If you want voicechat, use msn.

People are making a mountain out of this molehill, you can play with whoever you like, 12 numbers is not hard to punch in.

If you were playing an FPS, that's like, a pistol clip.

Smashboards/Here/5000 other websites will have smashlobbies up before the game is even released, people are being...

Eh, why bother.

So you're basically saying that if you want online play that's even close to what you get on the other two consoles, you should be playing on the PC instead of the Wii. That's certainly a different method of trying to defend Wii's online capabilities.

Eh?

What are you talking bout? Are you saying you can't play randoms on XBL? You can't add and play friends on XBL?

What's the real issue here?

Ohhhhhh, wait, NOW I get it, people are crying because they can't rep their username.

Wah wah wah.

Anyone with the internet has a pc, nintendo know this. So do all of you.

I don't have an Xbox. All I know is that when I want to play a game online on the PS3 I don't have to use my PC as well if I want to voice chat. If you think it's convenient or a good alternative to have to use the PC if you want to chat with someone that you're playing on th Wii, good for you. But I honestly can't imagine why anyone would want to do that when there is really no reason they should have to.

Point taken. To be honest, I can see a lot of people doing this, but I'll be doing it with irl/net friends, not randoms, so I'll probably hop skip jump from my pc to my wii anyway. Since they're friends, if I boot the game up and they're already on, do I need/want to talk to them everytime? Not really.

I would like to see integrated voice chat, but this game... meh.

Leonidas, I think you should just shut up for a little while. Just until you are ready to act intelligent.
