We have confirmation the friend's lists are on a game per game basis. We don't have confirmation that you're going to have to enter a 16-digit friend code on a game per game basis. Individual games might be using a different method. They might just require us to pick who out of our address book has the game. The situation sounds bleak and it's quite possible we have to enter a new code for each game. However this is not confirmation of that. Not yet at least. I'm not going to assume and complain about the worst until I know that's the situation.

(As a reminder, this is partially the situation on the PS3. The game's friend's lists aren't necessarily synced with your home list.)

DS friend codes are generated from the game and the system in question. If you take your wifi game and plug it into another DS your wifi code will change. Either way I don't think pedophiles care about that all that much. Haven't you heard? They're content with pictochat!

Neowolf has a good point, we do not have confirmation that we will have to enter a 16 digit friend code for each person on each game.

However, it seems ever more likely that WE WILL have to enter a 16 digit friend code for each person, on each game. I am with Neowolf, I am going to complain until I know for sure what is really going down with this thing.

so your saying this could just mean we have to use our systems friend code for each game and that this is simply saying that each game will require friend codes, bud not a seperate set of friend codes per game? or am i still missing it?

Yes, that's what he is saying. Basically. Still sucks though. We NEED a central system! I'd pay Live prices for one! I'd pay more to have a non sucky system! GRRRRRRRR!

I'm more upset about the news that Nintendo won't allow any third party games to go online for at least all of 2007.

well if thats the case i dont see much of a problem unless we have to enter each persons friend code again for each game...

But, it's probably a separate code for each game. We just don't have that confirmed yet.

That's basically what I'm saying. Sadly it sounds like the best to hope for at this point. I'm ready to know what the real deal is. :\
