Some shnazzy statistics about characters that I whipped up to celebrate the end of the update-less weekend:


Brawl has 23 starting characters thus far. Melee had 12 starting characters [assuming zelda and shiek are 2 different characters]. This means that, thus far, brawl has 11 more starting characters than Melee had.

In total, Melee had 26 characters. This means that for every starting character there were 1.17 secret characters. Going by the same ratio, Brawl will have a total of 50 characters in the game.

Of the 26 characters in Melee, 11 of them are yet to be confirmed for brawl.



Also, I've chosen a better way to make predictions. Since people have largely stopped making predictions due to the fact that we almost never get it right, I've decided to make a point system. It goes like this

for each category, you make a guess. You can choose to guess either the EXACT character or stage or you can guess the world that it will come from. Obviously, your chances are better just guessing the world. However, guessing the world only gets you 1 point, guessing the exact thing gets you 2.


That said, here are my predictions.

next stage: sonic world [this would get me one point if I get it right]
next character: Luigi [this would get me two points if I get it right]

Once either a stage or character update is given, you change your prediction for that category whether your prediction was right or wrong.

That is making the assumption that these are all staring characters. There is no confirmation as of yet as to weather or not all of these will be starting characters.

Luigi was unlockable right? Well if we don't get Luigi by say january i'd say it's pretty likely that we are only going to see starting characters on the Dojo. I feel that characters like Snake will be unlockable and in due to building up excitement before the games comes out we will get a full roster by the time the game comes out.

I think they all should be starters. What's the point of making them hidden if everyone already knows who they are?
