Chibi always tries to master 3 characters in any game
Main (best character, use for tournies, and fun, ect.)
2nd/Joke (Character used to test skills without showing to much of your stuff, fun, joking around
Cute (the cutest character that can still own if used right, mostly for joking, but with cute puns, also used for opponents that aren't really worth your time)

I play all characters regardless of tiers. I play Peach primarily especially in teams but I also Young Link quite a bit. Why? Because I like them and playing with them feels right.
Did I also mention I have a great fondness for Pichu?

I only play fox when I need to harshly introduce them to the exciting level of play that comes with advanced techniques. Sheik is boring and enogh noobs still use Marth and think they are the sh*t. And to noobs they often feel Falco's lasers are cheap and Peach only wins because of her downsmash. No you need a good ass kicking from Fox to really break you down. Nothing shows the higher play better than Fox shine spiking, waveshining tech chasing grabs(easy on noobs they usually always do the same thing to get up) and ending a stock earlier than they are used to with an upsmash or up air. Oh and short hopped double laser camping as well.

Also fox can make more decisive kills rather than them suiciding due to bad recovery skills.

Fox leaves no doubt to the level of skill. Perfect to use overcocky trash talker douchebags.

Right... my main problem with tiers though is that just about everyone who cares about them to any measurable extent seems to be under the assumption that they'll still apply in Brawl. I'm not sure if the "tourney" players, in general, are prepared to spend months making a numerical list of characters from best to worst, nor am I sure why they'd wanna waste their time with that in the first place.

as for marth that crap is true, just tap A and nearly not character can get an attack though there without having to jump

I suck badly enough when I only concentrate on one character, imagine if I worked on three...

I will main pikachu forever, I don't care if he's bottom tier (or last on lower tier *cough*). Biggest problem with pikachu is that while he's one of the more difficult characters to use, even using him correctly doesnt get you very far from what I've seen. And I still have a lot to learn. Still, that makes victory over higher rankeds sweeter. Marth is my secondary. I don't have a cute, but I'd say it would be jigglypuff.

Oh yeah, and tail spike gimps at <20% are freaking awesome
