I find this interesting as well. I wonder how many of the people who recently said this game was is outdated/sucked/halo is better etc... will change their stance if this takes place.

I'd probably get it for novelty. Plus I was never allowed to own it when I was younger; my dad didn't like my younger brother playing it... Obviously something like CoD4 is going to be better and consume more time.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. What's really aggravating about this is it wasn't just a rumor. It was close to completion. Shame on Nintendo.

Ummm, well... yeah. If I were Nintendo, I'd throw a bitch fit too. I mean, losing one of your most popular games of that generation would kind of suck. Especially if you just let it go so easily. I don't know why Nintendo isn't paying through the nose to try to get it on the VC.

That's the thing. If they were in negotiations, why wouldn't they put it on theirs too? Unless MS specifically said "only on our service" (at which point I would think Nintendo would say "slag off") this was largely in Nintendo's hands. It's both of their faults, but I'd like to know why there was no sign of a VC release when there was a XBLA in the near future.

With the game being so close to finish, I'd bet they're still going to try. Rare probably doesn't want to simply lose that investment.

It has to go somewhere. I couldn't imagine this one just falling through at the end and then never being mentioned again. There is huge demand for this.
