From what they have said, it sounds like the game is currently on the shelf. The game is probably complete or very close to completion, but the deal fell through at the last minute. They are publishing the story in attempt to spark public interest/outrage which will get Nintendo and Microsoft back to making the deal happen.

I guess that Makes Sense. Though I doubt this will work.

I believe the deal will get done eventually, but public interest will have very little to do with it.

Dammit.

It doesn't look that good. But a huge differance from the actual Goldeneye.

Wants now.

Also, once you hit MP3 and MoHH2, what's left? Not much. If you want to describe the Wii FPS controls as amazing, as a whole, 2 games aren't enough. They need to further prove themselves.
What I was saying was predictive [In the sense that the most recent godly fps contols continue to shine on other games]. Note the 2 games you are talking about are the two most recent FPS' also.

Between MP3 and H2 I describe the Wii's controls to be amazing. These games exsist, you can buy them. Try the controls, they're amazing.

What further proof do you need?

And of course, the solid gold question;

Have you played Vanguard?

HAHAHA.

Goldy, all of the quotes I used were from the page on Metacritic, and I included all quotes that mention the controls.

You were clearly trolling through the reviews to try and find bad things to say. (And poorly)

Here's the gamespot quote from the front page;

Quote:

GameSpot
There's no great gameplay to be found in Medal of Honor: Vanguard, so there's nothing to hide those feelings of déjà vu that you'll get when you play it. Nearly everything in the game has been done before, and it has all been done better.
Here's what goldy quoted;

Quote:
Like most of the other first-person shooters on the Wii, Vanguard has been saddled with lackluster controls.
And here's the extended cut for the kids at home;

Quote:
Like most of the other first-person shooters on the Wii, Vanguard has been saddled with lackluster controls. The basic controls are fine, and being able to look around corners is a nice touch. Once you get a hang of aiming and looking around with the Wii Remote, you'll find that it offers much more precision than the PS2's analog sticks. But because many of your moves are mapped to the hard-to-reach face buttons of the remote [I should add that this is bullshit and gamespot suck at writing and being a website -Leon], you'll find yourself accidentally moving the remote and thereby altering your aim when you try to change weapons or select a grenade. Don't even bother trying to move the remote forward to melee--you almost always mess up your aim and miss. You move around by using the Nunchuk's analog stick, and this works well. The problems come with the more advanced controls. The Nunchuk's buttons are used to change your stance from prone to crouching to standing, but you can also do this by moving the Nunchuk up or down. It doesn't take much movement to make this happen, and you'll often wind up crouching or standing up at very inopportune times. You can turn 180 degrees by moving the Nunchuk quickly to the left, but if you move it to the right, you reload your weapon. Needless to say, mixing these two up is an easy and often fatal mistake. [Gamespot staff clearlly can't remember the difference between left and right here, their low iq's are showing -L]
One last thing;

But goldmember did that for me, so..

Anyway, Goldeneye's never coming out, this debate is OVAH.

Leonidas, you missed my point completely. I was showing you how you can make the list of reviews on Metacritic support your point no matter what side you are taking. Hence why I said "it's amazing what you can do by bolding and quoting selectively" because not only did you do that, but SO DID I.

hence the reason I said this at the end:

Also, Leonidas, if you wanted to list good shooters, you should have mentioned something about Umbrella Chronicles. Sure, it doesn't use a conventional scheme since it's an on-rails shooter, but the aiming itself works great.

1. I own them both.
2. Are you a dumbass? I already answered this, try reading:

What makes you think the trend won't continue?

3. If all you were doing was predicting the trend will continue, maybe you should've specified that instead of coming off as a total ass before?:

Yup. Controls were crap. Even crappier now that I'm used to Heroes 2.

Wow. Is this a joke? You bolded selected quotes. Goldy bolded selected quotes from the review. Whoopty-fucking-do, they're both part of the review. What, because it's not on the Metacritic page, he's "trolling through the reviews", as if that's cheating somehow?

No. Goldy did the exact same thing you did. Except you're the only one looking desperate. You actually had to throw in your own little comments to make it sound better than it actually is.

The bottom line is this though: Wii has 2 FPSs with good controls. Only 2. With more good games, the Wii controls will be able to prove themselves, but right now they are not better than dual analog.

What is it with this thread and it's massive posts?

You can discuss superiority all you want, in the end, it's the gamers choice.

Can you guys please move this to a different topic. This is about GE 007 and how Microsoft and Nintendo's disagreements stopped this from ever happening again
