Appearently, it was going to be on both systems. Reggie got the deal in motion, so GE would be released on both XBLA and VC, also all of Rare's titles would be allowed for XBLA and VC. That's right folks, Reggie did this. He knew what it meant to the gaming community to have this happen and did his best to do it.

So the deal was almost done then Iwata said under no circumstance would their game be released on a competitor's system. In conclusion: fuck you Iwata.

I always knew Reggie was awesome, but not why until hearing this.

Reggie is definitely down with gamers, and its nice that he helped ink a deal that would have Nintendo and Microsoft "Work together" for the common goal of releasing rare's greatest games.

But now its likely we'll never see any of Rare's games on VC (Except for ones HARDCORE owned by Nintendo like DKC of course) and nothing of Rare's on XBLA (Except stuff Nintendo had nothing to do with like Jetpac) which is a shame, because Rare has am impressive catalog of games both companies could benefit and profit from.

Hopefully MS will truck without nintendo and just change goldeneye up. Technically, they only have to remove bond likenesses and they could do it, everything in the game except bond likenesses are property of Rare.
