Story driven? no. But apparently they want to flesh it out more for number 2. But honestly, this isn't a game that requires story. You just need an excuse to shoot the fuck out of Locusts, and they give you that much in spades.

god i hope gears 2 has 4 player co op. me and fenix played through chapters 2-4 on insane today and its just amazing. cant wait for the next installment.!

i'd wager that 4 player co-op is a given considering what has come since gears one.

I'd also expect a somewhat revamped and FIXED online component.

I'm secretly hoping for Halo style replays for those chainsaw finishes. Called it here first.
