I am on my 3rd.

Each time they sent me back one that was manufactured earlier than the one before.

I went from a system manufactured in august 06 to june 06 to may 06 with the new one. And every one of them have had issues with the disc drive not wanting to open unless a game is inside.

Ridiculous.

Depending on how long this one lasts will be the difference between my continued support of XBOX360 or cashing it ALL in and migrating to Playstation 3. I got 4 controllers (2 are wireless), 2 headsets, play and charge kit, 1 year XBL membership, AND about 23 games and a dozen purchased XBLA games, I think that should help me get a PS3 with a couple controllers, games and movies or whatever.

If it does happen to go down on you tell them that you want a brandspanking NEW one... as in all the way NEW.

Sad for your but your not the only 1. My first RROD was set in and returned and that one would even read a disc. So i feel your pain

I missed the box pick up the other day. I have to wait until friday when my mother gets back with the car so I can drive over and get it. Hopefully I won't have the same luck you did.

I guess I should be considered one of the fortunate ones, I have a launch 360 and have averaged playing 2-6 hrs a day without RROD....

I wish I was also, I really like my 360, the games are awsome on the system and the online is great. Anyways maybe the next one will be better, hopefully.
