| I'd like to add a couple common sense tips. I hassle around with my 360 quite alot, to lanparties, consolenights and back and forth from my dorm. This inevetably lowers the lifetime of your xbox, most likely the already weak disc drive. Always take the discs out, Get yourself a decent xbox carrying bag (50€ but have been happy with it allready a lot)

| This is the funniest thread i've ever seen. It's like, rate what MS are like trying to get out of the shit! As i've got the elite, I don't get all this for free because the guarantee is not extended. I think I have a few months before the initial period is up though, fingers crossed I don't get it. |

| I gave a rating of 9 due to the amount of time it took for my little brothers 360 to arrive. Took a little over a month and a half. But overall his 360 got the RROD for his stupdity so it wasn't M$ fault anyway

| I have 2 xbox 360s. I've sent one of them in twice, and the other one once. xbox 360 #1: RRod xbox 360 #2: Disc read errors xbox 360 #1 (second time): Memory card wasn't being recongnized. (plus other probs) I've rated it a 9 On all accounts, I've received the box...shipped it back to them, and got it back from them in about 10 days. The place I ship it to is in Texas - I'm in Oklahoma, so that is probably the reason for the faster response than most people are getting. |

| This thread is Twilight Zone material. "How pleasant was your bath in that vat of acid?" - Oh, not bad. It only took four weeks for the scars to heal! - It was great! Awesome warm, tingly feelings! I'd do it again in a heartbeat - if I still had one! - Terrible! I'd love to kick the ass of whoever put that "Warm Sauna: Dive Right In!" there. - It's my fourth experience, and this one was the best one yet! Totally recommended! Double You Tee Eff, people!

| We don't pretend to be thrilled about it, Icemage! It's simply a thread where people can talk about their RRoD issues and how well MS handled them. Maybe we can figure out why it takes so long for some and is so quick for others. Some people seem a little overly excited, though. Plus, don't forget my tips! I'd rather do my part to prevent people from having to go through an RRoD affair rather than just watching everyone try to sail the rapids without a paddle. |

| New rule: if you have nothing constructive to add then post somewhere else please. This thread is for those of us who own 360's who have had to deal with the RRoD issue, not for everyone to come and tell us how pathetic we are. Not to mention, but I'd be willing to bet there are quite a few out there who could use my tips to preventing RRoD. So, if I wanted to hear "you're sad" and a bunch of other nonsense, I could go visit my parents! Now, GTFO! |

| Let me also add that the RRoD is being treated in this thread like a cancer, I'm certainly not celebrating it. But it's something that needs to be talked about. I can't control if some of us are actually "excited" about their experience, because to me it's nothing to be excited about. It's also not a topic to run from. Ya know, maybe if we find some type of glaring issue in their repair process, we can make a formal complaint or suggestion of some sort to MS. So, I'll admit I take offense to comments such as "this is sad." Well, WTF is anyone else doing to try and learn more about the issue? Nothing? Oh, well you're doing a good job then and helping the rest of us a ton. |
