| If I remember correctly, MS said that Video Marketplace was coming to Europe Q4 2007. Up untill that point all we had was a couple of movie trailers. But so far....nothing. I don't know about the UK but in Holland there's still no movies or tv-series available for download on XBL. Does anyone know more about this?

| I found this on Joystiq; Like a thunderbolt hurled from Mt. Olympus, "Xbox Live Marketplace Video Store" (aka Video Marketplace) clashes onto Canadian and select European servers next Tuesday, December 11th. This was posted on Dec. 4, so it should have happened already. Select European servers indicates that someone has got it and someone hasn't. Maybe it is a ploy? Nobody's got it, but everybody thinks someone else has it? |

| Yeah, it's here, but I don't use it. I watch movies multiple times, so there's really no point when I can buy Blu-ray movies and have them to own for £11-16 rather than rent them for 400 or whatever points is. It actually has quite a few films decent films on it, but for a download service, it's still way too expensive.

Transformers isn't out on Blu Ray (yet at least). I like the service, watched Black Snake Moan on it, it was nice to not have to go to a video store to watch a crisp, clean, legal movie, but the prices are a bit much, I paid 320 points ($4) for it, which is what I would pay at a video store around here, but I think it should be cheaper because the fact that no physical media is being distributed, 3$ would be better for new releases. I'd be more willing to bite if MS dropped the price of rentals like a dollar across the board, that would make them competitive with AppleTV then. I think the price for tv shows is fair though. Its like 160points for an episode of south park or 240 in HD, that's 2 dollars an episode, which makes it comparable to seasons on DVD (except for wishy-washy seasons, you can buy just the good ones and save money that way, and yes its more to pay for them in HD, but as far as I know, South Park isn't available on Blu Ray or HD DVD so not much choice there, and that's not the kind of show you need in HD anyway. The only problem is lack of HDD space, but you can clear and re-download if you have to have a huge depository of programming on your 360. That wouldn't be that big of a problem except Microsoft still charges too much for its hard drives, it makes the 360 an expensive DVR solution without even factoring that you are paying for the programming.
