THQ boss Brian Farrell has a confession to make. He's an addict. He, and his company, are addicted to shitty ports. And admission is the first step on the road to recovery. The second step? Deciding that enough is enough.

Deciding that enough is enough. “In the past, a lot of publishers — including us — would say, 'Okay, let's make a game and get it across every system.' That's not our strategy going forward; there are going to be different gamers for the different systems. So our strategy is different types of content, segmented on who the users of the systems are.” I applaud the sentiment. Of course, in practice it might mean we're either going to get less games (as limits on manpower force some systems to miss out) or worse games (as talent is stretched too thin across several projects), but it's the thought that counts. I'd rather have seen one or two good versions of Cars, for instance, than 315 awful ones YAY! Source : | http://kotaku.com >> Discuss This (-1 comments) Comment (0) |
