And now, a lot more details have been revealed about what we can expect from the next Thompson enraging title from Rockstar.

You play an East European immigrant named Niko Bellic looking for a better life in the good old USA, which is good news for many whom were waiting for more information on him before they made any decision.

The game will be a lot smaller than we have come to expect from the GTA series. In the news we’ve gathered it seems as if the area you’ll be playing in will be significantly smaller than San Andreas, with many citing the fact that it was just ‘too big’ as a probable reason for this down sizing.

This is probably also a symptom of it being almost exclusively set in ‘New York’ and so to do a little trimming with the edges seems only natural. This is also one of the reasons we won’t be seeing planes in GTA IV.

One of the more ‘fun’ aspects of San Andreas will be giving it a miss here, making sure if anything that there isn’t a myriad of complaints filed as soon as someone decides to go a little crazy with the auto-pilot.

Adding to this, the game itself will now feature completely free-form missions and tasks. There won’t be any rigid structures to mission as there was, occasionally, before and now there will be more than one way for you to take on those all important tasks and advance up whatever criminal ladder you happen to be working for this time around.

As well as this, the game has been labelled as ‘super realistic’. Everything seems to be going back to its more dark and gritty GTA III roots and foregoing the colourful views of Vice City for the dark and dreary Liberty City once more. This means that obviously with more realism, we get a lot more hard hitting violence, but where can they draw the line?

Needless to say, this is all good news for the lovers of all things Grand Theft Auto.
