A Racing Game For PS3 Motorstorm, a somewhat promising game was revealed at E3 2005, a huge E3 for Sony. The Sony exclusive, developed by Evolution Studios and published by SCEA was hyped as a console seller and a game that would redefine racing games. I totally disagree. Motorstorm is a Motorflop.

First off, the lack of non-online multiplayer disgusts me. If you want to sit down and play with a friend and not Joe_the_man why can't you do so? With all the hype given to Motorstorm you would expect to be able to at least play it non-online.

Next graphics. After I saw the video at E3, I was drooling over the game. I thought it would be the greatest and everything would be amazing. Playing the game is different. The mud is just plain annoying. The graphics are not what they were promised to be although they are ok. Still, with it being called a console seller, you expect a little more.

Another big topic is the motion sensing. YUCK! The motion sensing is just horrible. Not only can you not drive the car, motorcycle or any other vehicle you choose, it also freezes up my console.

Yet another short coming of Motorstorm is the amount of tracks. There are like 3 tracks. I swear, I must have raced on the same goddamn track a million times from level to level. It got very repetitive and annoying.

Motorstorm does have very good crashes though. It would make any Hollywood Action Film director drool seeing those crashes. Until you get an angle and see the pixels. That ruins it.

It's got a pretty good soundtrack so at lease while you are waiting for the online multiplayer to fail you can listen to good music. All in all Motorstorm 2 better be a lot better than 1 or else it will be the worst sequel of all time.
